God of Oprah

God of Oprah Winfrey, hear us
let our nails now match our jewels
let thy Self-talk gurus cheer us
raising us above the fools;

plebes who don’t esteem their inner
selfish motivational goals,
those who forfeit self as winner
fail to charm our worldling souls.

Dietary mysticism
helps to shed the guilt that pounds
in our temples. This baptism
in thy shallow pool resounds.

Cutting-edge sound-bites now assure
endless wardrobes. Chic pastel.
And we deserve that pedicure;
freed of Heaven, Christ, and Hell.

It’s 2015: Love Yourself to Hell

So here we are with the gospel, going to a generation of people who are not only proud, but they’ve turned pride into the virtue of all virtues, who are in love with themselves, and who seek to fulfill every whim, and every desire, and every ambition, and every dream, and every hope; who seek to be everything that they can be, who seek to set value on all that they are, and all that they say, and all that they do.  And we confront that culture with the gospel, and at the heart of the gospel is this opening.  “So you want to follow Jesus, do you?  You want to enter the Kingdom of God?  You want your sins forgiven?  You want eternal heaven?  Then deny yourself and take up your cross and fully submit to Him.”  You can’t even get to the submitting part unless you can get past the cross part, and you can’t get there if you can’t get past the part about denying yourself.

To give you a term that you likely won’t forget, I’ll borrow from Martin Luther.  Martin Luther, as you know, launched the Protestant Reformation.  He was a Roman Catholic priest who came to understand the truth of salvation by grace through faith alone in Christ alone, apart from works, and ceremonies, and all the rest; and so he determined that he would confront the Roman Catholic system, the great monolithic system of error and deception, and he selected 95 different statements, 95 different protests – that’s why we’re called “Protestants” – 95 different assertions that ran contrary to Catholicism.  He wrote them down and he nailed them on the door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg.

The fourth of his protests, the fourth of his 95 assertions was that a penitent heart, a heart that comes to God and receives salvation is characterized by – here’s his term, “self hate.”  Self hate.  Quoting from Luther’s fourth statement.  “And so penance remains while self hate remains.”  He said that self hate was the true interior penitence.  “This,” said Luther, “is essential to the gospel.”

Create the Reality YOU Deserve

You are so special. There is no one quite like YOU.

YOU  were created for greatness.

Don’t ever let them tell you you that you can’t achieve everything you want for yourself. You couldn’t do it for a better person, after all, so – be good to yourself.  Who would you be if you were not you? What if there was no YOU to create happiness and prosperity for yourself? When you create a positive reality of happiness and prosperity, you are able to bless others. How? By recognizing that YOU are the power source of the most important energy and thought-producing universal vibration machine ever conceived: your SELF ! Your self will lead you and guide you into the unstoppable universal Truth that YOU are the person who knows you the best ! You will achieve those good things for yourself much more efficiently when you make you  the primary creator of reality for yourself. Others will be blessed, helped, strengthened and brought into a more positive reality when YOU focus on creating good things (for yourself). Then they, too, will begin to understand that the name of the game is creating reality for the most important person in their universe: they them-self.

(But don’t let they themselves divert YOUR wealth of positive-reality-producing peace and happiness by making you forget that it’s all about YOU. Treat yourself to what you have always wanted – have a special day with yourself. Take yourself out and love yourself – give yourself a beautiful and precious gift and tell yourself how much you love you. Then – sit back and watch the prosperity of the universe find its way to you as you stay focused on the good things that you ALREADY  possess !)

There are so many negative confused souls out there.
Beware of damaged souls who have not yet learned that they have
all the power they will ever need  – right inside themselves.

Gently steer them into recognizing their potential greatness if possible. But DON’T let them distract your laser-like focus on the Luciferian light of your own inner fallen, warped Satanic reflection, the superficial narcissistic self-motivated self-obsessed piece of worthless Fool’s Gold which is YOU, your glorious and all-powerful SELF.
